Hi, everyone! My name is Brittany, and I am a wife, teacher, and lover of books. I survive the Florida heat with my amazing husband, sweet baby girl, and two kitties!
I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade. I am also the Literacy Specialist at my school. My classroom is my second home, and it’s where I get my inspiration!
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I went on to complete my Masters in Reading Education at the University of South Florida. Though I’ve always been a lover of stories, my professors at USFSM inspired me to view picture books and YA literature through a more critical eye.
In addition to my love for books, I also love to create. From scrap-booking to interior decorating, you’ll find me adding my colorful touch to all my work. I especially enjoy creating for my classroom. You can find my creations in my TPT store, Britty’s Bookshelf.
I love sharing what I learn, and I hope you find my blog helpful! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at brittysbookshelf@gmail.com.
